PLAINS WEST CLUB. TRANSFER DESIRED. At the annual meeting pf the Hauraki Plains West Football Club at Patetonga on. Friday evening concern was expressed at the pobi- prospect of getting sufficient playeais to warrant entering for the Hauraki Plains inter-club but on it being reported that some good men uould probably be secured from the Maukoro district, where two flaxmills were operating, if it was possible to play with Morrinsville inste&d Hauraki Plains, it was decided to as- ' certain, if this change was possible. The Morrinsville sub-union is to be approached, and if it is agreeable to accepting Patetonga the Hauraki Plains sub-union is to be asked; for permission to let the club out for one year. The opinion was expressed that this would probably be the means of reviving interest in the game among the people of the district, and that the Plains union was not likely to offer any objection to the transfer for one year, in view of thej weakness of the team and the difficulty of travelling. By next season, the roads to the northern part of the Plains .would be metalled or something definite in re>gard to the metalling would be known.
The officej-s appointed for the son were: Patron, Mr J. F. Mayn; » president, Mr N. Wallace ; secretary, Mr J. Christie ; senior selector, Mr T.. Dufty; junior selector, Mr W. Newdick ;. executive committee, Messrs Wallace, Christie, and Dufty; dele- . gates to Union, Messrs N. Wallace and J. Christie; auditor, Mr R. McCullough.
