“Without wishing to pose as a moralist or a rclig'onist, I consider that in many cases the young people of to-day have too' much money. It is bad for them and bad for the life of the community.” These remarks were made by Mr W. Cecil Prime at the sitting of the Arbitration Court at Christchurch when speaking oh the wages of young grocers’ assistants. He had just made the statement that he considered that the present rates of wages, were quite high enough.
