Speaking- to the pupils at the, Paeroa District High School yesterday, the Minister of Education (the Hon. R. A. Wright) said that a child’s best friends ‘were his father 1 and mother, and then came his school teacher.
' The police report that despite the large crowd that was at Paeroa for the races on Saturday and Monday there was no occasion which warranted an arrest being made, and so far as is known no serious mischief was committed'. A' pleasing feature also is that no serious accidents were reported.
