ROYAL AUSTRALIAN SUNBEAMS.
PAEROA—NEXT WEDNESDAY. Thus an. exchange: “As merry and bright as their name suggests the Royal Sunbeams, put the National’s big aud’ence in excellent humour last evening with a pleasantly varies revue. These Australian, artists, who have crossed the Tasman several times arc perfectly trained, and ar®' a striking contrast to the ahdws put on by amateur children. Wee Jackie Clarke was welcomed back with two comedy songs, and Harry Ussher, the boy soprano, was a big favourite, and there were calls for encores. The Acrobatic Sunbeams' did some amazing things. They somersaulted and balanced in precarious giving the audience not a few thrills. The scenery and dressing of tlie sh°'w were full of colour. The Sunbeams, 35 in number are all from the sjtudio of Miss Chr’ssie Royal, of Sydney, and inclul.e many talented juveniles, notably Jackie Clarke (“the imp of merriment”), Baby Doreen, (everybody’s darling), Gwen Jones ,the bouncing Sunbeam), Harry Uss,her (wonder boy soprano), Alice Johnson and Valda Chate (ballet 'leaders), Thelinja Forrest and Phyllis Robertson (specialty dancers), Joan White (fantasjtic dancer), N.oni Miles (solo danseuse), the Radiant Beauty Ballet, the Acrobatic Sunbeams (formerly the eleven wonders), the Tiny Tots Ballet, the Doll .baSlet, and the Royal Merry Twinkiers. Handsomely frocked, gorgeously mounted With novel lighting effects and augmented orchestra, the whole show d s refreshingly bright.”
The locail season, limited to one matinee and one night performance, is schedule! for 'Wednesday next and seats may be reserved at Flatt’s.
