DAIRYING RETURNS.
THE TE AROHA COMPANY.
DECREASE IN FEBRUARY’ SUPPLY.
From figures supplied by the Te Aroha Dairy Co., Ltd., it is seen that the quantity of butter-fat handled by the company during January of this year was 231,0001 b, and for the month of February 152,0001 b. Comparing the butter-fat handled for the’ months of December, January, and February of this season with the corresponding three months of last season, December shows an increase of 21.9 per cent. January an increase of 5.5 per cent, and February a decrease of 10 per cent. The progressive increase for the season to the end of December was 25 per cent., to the end of January, 21 per cent., and to February 17 per cent.
From the foregoing figures it will be seen that although there was a fair falling-off of supply during January and a phenomenal reduction last month, the total quantity of butterfat received for the whole season to date is in excess of that for the; corresponding period of last season by 17 per cent.
