AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. ROSE 'OF THE GOLDEN WEST. Monterey, California, site of that State’s first capital, is the background for much of the most dramatic acti°n of “Rose of the Golden Wesjt,” which is to be screened to-night. Mary Astor, Gilbert Roland, and others are featured in the picture. Also a special feature showing the preparations, being made in Australia and the actual start of Lieutenant J. R. Moncrieff and Captain G. Hood to fly the Tasman in the monoplane Ao-te:a-roa. TUESDAY NIGHT. PAINTING THE TOWN. “Painting the Town,” the photoplay to be shown to-morrow night, is without doubt one of the funniest pictures seen here in a long time. It will keep the audience in gales of laughter from start to finish and provc to be excellent entertainment for all ages and classes.
