On Saturday afternoon representatives of the Paeroa Tennis Club journeyed to Thames, where an inter-club match was played in continuanleo of Cup competition under the auspices of‘the Thames Valley Lawn Tennis Association. ( Men’s Doubles.—McMillan and Ruston lost to Garland and Danby, 6 —9 ; Thorp and Thorp lost to Poulgrain and Marsrihall, I—91 —9 ; Bluck and Wells lost to Danby and Dodd, 3 —9. Ladies Doubles.—Misses Shand, and O’Grady beat Mrs Glover .and Miss Payne, 7—5 ; Misses C. and I. Taylor lost to Mrs Danby and Miss Hedley, I—7.

Combined Doubles.—Bluck and Miss O’Grady lost to Danby ;and Mrs Danby 4—7; Wells and Miss 1. Taylor lost to Dodd and Miss Hedge, 2—7.

/ CONTINUATION OF TOURNAMENTS. > The Hauraki Plains Tennis Association's annual Champion and handicap tournaments, were continued at the Ngatea" courts on Saturday last in good weather- Progress was slow, but the semi-finals were almost completed in all the doubles, the third round was . completed in the ladies’ singles and men’s championship singles, and the smcpnid I‘ound was almost completed < the men’s handicap singles and ladies’ championship singles.
