Sir—l am pleased to note that “ One cf the Burgesses.” considers the sum of £l's 18s 9d excels of unauthorised expenditure is one which should be borne by the borough and not by the councillors. There are no doubt ■many others, who think the same. In accordance with your correspondent’s suggestion, I have opened an account for the purpose and shall be glad to receive contributions.
