MORRINSVILLE V. PAEROA A. LAST SATURDAY’S MATCH. , There was a good attend ap.ce of the public at the local domain on Saturday afternoon, when the Morrinsville team played the Paeroa A eleven, the, match being the first in the third round of the Piako Cricket Association’s competition. As time did not permit of a two innings game, the visitors secured a two-point win by a margin of. 27 runs. Morrinsville batted first, and Banks and Humphreys opened the account. After hitting up 16 Bahks was smartly caught by Stack, the first wicket falling fot 28; The Morrinsville captain, Humphreys, played a sterl/ng not-out innings for 46, including six 4’s. McPherson, who made 14, was the only other visitor to reach double figures. The, innings closed for 105 runs. Stack and Taylor opened for Paer roa, the first-named compiling the top score of 24' before he had the misfortune to be run out.
