HERD TESTING.
HAURAKI PLAINS GROUPS. RETU.RNS FOR NOVEMBER LAST. The following returns from the Hauraki Plains groups for the month of. November, 1927, have been supplied by the N.Z. Co-operative Herd-testing Association, Hamilton: — Netherton Group.— The highest herd, with 31 cows, averaged 39.571 b fat; the lowest .herd, with 56 cows, averaged 26.531 b fat. The highest cow in the group produced 69.821 b fat, and the lowest cow 4.951 b fat. Shelly Beach—The highest herd, with 29 cows, averaged 39.241 b ’ fat; the lowest herd, with 61 cows, averaged 31.261 b fat. The highest cow in the group produced 81.091 b fat, and the lowest cow 10.541 b fat. Ngatea— The highest herd, with 51 cows, averaged 43.891 b fat; the lowest herd with 55 cows, 25.271 b fat. The highest cow produced 78.961 b fat, and the lowest cow 6.721 b fat. Turua.—The highest herd, with 24 edws, averaged 44.941 b fat ; the lowest herd, with 39 cows, averaged 21.61 lb fat. The highest cow produced 87.971 b fat, and the lowest cow 9.181 b fat.
Waitakaruru. —The highest herd, with 54‘ cows, averaged 40.751 b fat; the lowest herd, with 65 cows, averaged 28.751 b fat. The highest cow produced 76.1Ub fat, and the lowest cow 4.951 b fat.
Patetonga.—The highest herd, with 19 cows averaged 44.241 b fat; the lowest herd, with 27 cows, averaged 26.251 b fat. The highest cow produced 69.301 b fat, and the lowest cow> B.4Ub fat.
The average for 67,414 cows teste,d in November was 9011 b milk, 4.0 test, for 36.341 b fat.
