The Paeroa Borough Council draws the ‘ attention of consumers to the fact that owing to the prolonged spell of dry weather any wastage, of water will be drastically dealt with.

The funeral of the late Mi’ Eric Robson which took place at the Pukerimu Cemetery, Paeroa., on Saturday afternoon, was very largely attended. The number o£ local young men who joined in the cortege was moat marked. The bearers were, ..Messrs C. H. Vincent, C. Treanor, N. Nedl, and H. There is ample water available, and the pressure is quite sufficient. ,

The Hauraki Plains Co-operative Dairy Co- paid out over £BOOO on Friday last in respect to milk supplied to its cheese factory during December, being at the rate of Is 6d per lb of butter-fat and a bonus qf %d in respect to last season’s supply. The output is dropping steadily, but not at a. greater rate than; in other years, despite the dry weather.

In the latest issue of the New Zealand Gazette notice is givenl that the Paeroa Borough Council is authorised by Order-in-Council to pay interest at the rate of six per cent, in respect of the loan of £4500 authorised to be raised for the purpose of improving certain main streets.
