We have to acknowledge the receipt of a copy of the New Zealand Official. Year-book from the Census and Statistics Office, Wellington. Thq 1928 issue represents the 36th number of the volume. Although slightly reduced in bulk as compared with the 1927 number, the 1928 number not onlj- retains all the salient features of its immediate predecessor, but also contains a substantial amount of new matter. Two entirely new sect'ons have been added, ohejdealing with the tramway systems, of the Dominion and the other containing the summarised results of the first annual collodion of statistics of building construction activities.
