MEETING OF COMMITTEE.

ROUNDS IMPROVEMENT SCHEME.

The Ngatea District High School Committee met on Monday evening, Mr W. McDuff presiding-over. Messrs W. Lawrence, W. Clark, R. Rowlings, C. S. Foster, and E. C. Barriball (hon, secretary). The secretary reported that so far £65 had been collected or promised towards the schoolgrpunds improvement scheme, though the canvass had not been completed. . After discussing the work to be done it was decided that the chair-

man and the secretary arrange to get 250 cubic yards of sand delivered to ' the school ground. This will be, spread three inches thick on the area from w)iich the grass has been removed and be tarred. was also decided that tenders be felled locally for the, erection of the •pergola in place of the entrance gate.
