CHRISTMAS PAIRS TOURNAMENT. PROGRESS OF COMPETITIONS. . The Paeroa Bowling Club has ar- . ranged a progressive pairs' competition for the Christmas holidays. The tournament will copunence on Monday at 9 a.m„ be continued on Tuesday,, and, if necessary, the finals will be played later on in the next week. Players are requested to enter their names at the paviliop as early as possible. BRENAN SHIELD COMPETITION. The following is the position of the various teams to date: F. This’competition is creating a great deal of interest, and more games liave been played to date than has been played during any one season. Williams and F. S. Williams, 3 wins 2 losses ; and Jes Sen, 0 wins 3 losses. B.
