SUDDEN DEATHS.
TWO YOUNG GIRLS.
INQUESTS TO BE HELD.
Early yesterday morning a young daughter of Mr James -Scarfield, Pae-r-oa, died suddenly.
As tiie deceased had not been attended by a doctor, an inquest will be held at 2 o’clock to-day. A postmortem is being conducted by Dr. W. Little. Another sudden death occurred in Paeroa this morning, the eleven-year-oid daughter of Mr Cyril Dally, late of Maratoto, dying at the residence of her grandmother. She was taken ill on Wednesday, but not sufficiently to cause alarm.
This child was a pupil of Hikutia school, and children living some distance away are usually taken to the school and returned in the evening. On Wednesday the conveyance was not there to take the children home, and they had to walk, and it is thought that she received some internal injury while playing.
An inquest will be held, Dr. Smith holding the post-mortem.
