POWER CONSUMERS.

CONNECTIONS TO MAINS; TOTAL OF 4980. The manager (Mr R. Sprague) reported to Tuesday’s meeting of the Thames Valley Elevtric Power Board that the number of. consumers connected to the board’s mains on November 30 was 4980. In ' these figures Thames and Te Aroha borough were not included, the consumers in Thames being 1053 and in Te Aroha 623. Twenty lighting and heating consumers, 31 waterheaters, nine electric ranges, together with 16 motors on farms of which 11 were 2 h.p. milking motors, were connected during the month. There were now' connected and operating 1285 water-heaters and 218 electric ranges, and the total number of motors connected and running on farms was 2238, of which 1748 were 2 h.p. milking motors. In addition, 44 consumers had lighting and heating additions made during the month, and in the metering areas there were one 7% h.p., one 5 h.p,, one 3% h.p., three 2 h.p., apd four% h.p. motel’s connected. The agreement with the Te Aroha Borough was before the board and signed. The authority for sealing and signing the agreement with Thames was to be given upon the borough completing the deed.
