FINALS OF COMPETITIONS. TURUA WINS BOTH GRADES. The Hauraki Plains Tennis Association’s knock-out competitions were concluded on Saturday, .when the Turua team beat Waitakaruru by 7 sets (76 games) to 5 sets (64 games), thereby winning the Laidlaw Cup.
The Turua B team beat the Patetonga B team by 10 sets (91 games) to 3 sets (62 games), thus winning the Hayward Shield.
