THE “ FREE DANCE.” This year’s annual of the “ New Zealand Free Lance,” just issued, is a veritable feast of illustration and a gold-mine of good holiday reading. The most .striking feature is the very beautiful coloured presentation plate of the Duchess of York, specially taken during her tour of the Dominion. Suitably framed it will make a charming souvenir of the Royal visit.. On the pictorial side there are 32 pages of beautifullyfinished photographic illustrating interesting scenes, characters, and incidents of New Zealand life, and sport, cartoons, humorous pictures and sketches. There are also a dozen short stories, two fairy stories for children, and some beautiful poems of New Zealand life and scenery.
