BROWN OF HARVARD.
“Brown of Harvard,” starring Jack Pickford and Mary Brian, which is to be shown to-night, is by far the best story of college life that has yet reached the screen. It possesses a sincerity and a lack of the usual mock heroics that have been noticeably missing in other stories of youth. THURSDAY NIGHT. TOO MANY CROOKS. “Too Many Crooks,” with Mi,hired Davis and Lloyd Hughes in the principal roles, which is to be screened to-morrow night, is taken from E. J. Rath’s novel, and deals with the adventures of a society girl, who decides to create the world’s greatest crook drama.’ In order to gain the necessary atmosphere, she invades the underworld, coming into contact with blackjack artists, second-storey men, confidence workers, and pickpockets.

TO-DAY AND TO-MOR.ROW,
A unique display of work of varied assortment and of artistic handicraft is to be found on the sftalls at .the Roman Catholic bazaar, which is being held at the Gaiety Theatre, Paeroa, to-day and to-morrow. In the evenings various competitions are be,ing held, and the Convent school children are contributing fancy-dress dancing and action songs. In addition to the liost of dainty and useful articles displayed for sale, lunches, afternoon teas, and supper are procurable at nominal pricep.
