FLAME OF THE ARGENTINE.
“Flame of the Argentine.” which isto be screened to-night, tells a story of the great Argentine mining and cattle country, and is replete with the thrills and. gripping situations that characterise Evelyn Brent’s recent productions, and while in some ways a “crook” picture, it possesses a distinctly different angle which is sure to prove popular. SATURDAY NIGHT. DOWN THE STRETCH. The. picture to be presented to-mor-row night is' “Down the Stretch, which depicts life behind the scenes at one of the largest race tracks and is one of the most entertaining pictures of the year. THE NOTORIOUS LADY. “The Notorious Lady,” also to be screened to-morrow night, is a. colourful adventure, melodramatic in several sequences, and has thrills galore —aside from being a beautiful story of the sacrificing love of a good woman for her husband. TURUA HALL. ANNIVERSARY CONCERT. The anniversary concert cf th® Turua Hall Company will be held on Saturday next, when the famous Lyric Quartette from Auckland, and Miss Alma McGruer, will give a nighclass entertainment. It is interesting •to note that this is the first appearance of these talented artists on th® Hauraki Plains. THE BLACK CYCLONE. On Monday next, (Labour Day) “ The Black Cyclone ” will be screened. This is a picture; featuring the famous wild horse Rex, a wonder horse, savage and untamed striving for freedom and life. A picture full of action.
