SUCCESSFUL SEASON CONCLUDED.

PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. The Paeroa Rugby Union’s 1927 season was brought to a successful and happy conclusion on Monday night, when an enjoyable dance and euchre tournament was held at the Gaiety Theatre. The dance hall was attractively decorated, paper streamers representing the various colours of the clubs affiliated with the union being the foundation of the decorative scheme, whiles round the walls and in odd corners greenery was arrayed. The floor was in perfect condition for dancing, and to the strains of the Hauraki Orchestra a large and representative number took the floor. The euchre tournament, which was conducted on the stage by Mr T. H. Hale, attracted 64 players, and competition was keen for the handsome prizes provided. To Me,ssrs W. Pennell and E. L.
