PAEROA STOCK SALE. LARGE YARDING OF STOCK. At the, Paeroa stock sale on Thurstday last the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports that there was a large yarding of cattle, but the quality was hardly up to the standard of previous sales. There was a good attendance of buyers, and practically all the cattle, changed hands. Dairy heifers' and cows of quality wejre readily sought after, and firm values were obtained. The following prices are quoted :— Best cows, and heifers, £9 10s to £lO 15s, others £7 10s to £9 10s ; unconditioned cows and heifers £4 10s to £7 ; fat cows £5 to £5 10s, fresh con’ditioned £4 to £4 12s 6d ; good framed condition cows £3 to £3 15s ; rough cows £2 10s to £2 15s. Theire was a good demand for yearling empty heifers, and although no extra choice quality heifers were yarded values realised £4 to £4 10s for Jersey-crosjs heifejrs, £3 5s to £3 Ils for Shorthorn heifers, others £2 10s to £3 3s. There was no demand for grown sjteers, but changed hands nt £2 15s to £3 7s ; younger cattle (1% to 2 years old) yearling steers £2 to £2 10s.
