According to the Nenv Zealand Alliance’s figures, £8,425,051 was spent in the Dominion in 1926 on liquor, compared with £8,583,111 in 1925. The estimated expenditure per head population, including Maoris, was £5 19s- 2d a decrease of 4& 10d.
