HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company report:— At the weekly stock market in the Frankton yards- on Tuesday last we had a full yarding of beef, principally choice prime cows and heifers, and prices were £1 to 30s easier than in the previous week. A small entry of fat sheep was penned, .and values were barely up to the standard of late markets'. An. average yarding of fatpigs came forward and prices were unimproved. A full number of stores ■were offered and were dull of sale. Beef: Good quality light steers £lO to £lO 5s ; extra choicei prime heavy Polled Angus cows and heifers on account of Dr. St. L. H. Gribben, ofKihi Kihi, £9 12si 6(1 to £lO 4s, lighter prime £8 7s to £8 7s 6d ; heavy prime Hereford cows and heifers on account of the same vendor £8 5s to £9 7s 6d ; other good prime heavy cows £8 7s 6d to £8 13s ; medium weight prime cow& £7 Is to £7 10s ; light prime quality young cows and heifers £6 to £6 ,15s ; plain cows £4 10s to £5 10s, forward conditioned cows £3 10s to £3 ISs. Sheep : Heavy printe fat ewes, 30s 6d to 32s 6d, heavy 27s 3d to 29s 3d ; choice and prime hoggets 27s to 30s 6d.
Pigs: Heavy baconers £2 17s to £3 Is. light £2 10s, to £2 14s; heavy porkers £2 10s to £2 l-2s, small, to medium £2 to £2 6s ; choppers £2 15s to £3 5s ; store- porkers 275, to 34s ; slips 23s to 25s ; weanens 14s to 18s, small 9st to 12s.
