HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At the weekly stock market in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we, had a full yarding of fat cattle and sheep and a medium entry of fat and store pigs. Beef was 10s to 15s per head easier than in* the previous week —this refeirs more especially to plain and unfinished cattle. Prime quality mutton sold firm at late rates, while the majority of t ( he yarding consisted of unfinished sheep, Which werei easier. There was no improvement in the values of bacon pigs. Porkers reached slightly better values and stores sold as usual. Beef: Medium to hejavy steers £l2 to £l2 ,10s ; good quality light to medium prime steers £ll to £ll l? s 6d ; prime heavy fat, cows and heifers £9 to £9 15& prime £8 10s to* £8 17s 6d; good quality light to, mediuinweight cows and heifers £8 to £8 Bs, others £7 to £7 6d; medium vealefrs £2lo's to £2 19s, young and light 19s to 2’ss.
Shejep : Extra prime heavy fat ewes and wethers sold up to £2 ; fair fat wethers 34s 9d; medium-weight fat ewes 31s 9d, lighter 265. 9d to 28s, plain 24 s to 25s 6d ; prime woolly hoggets and maiden ewes 32sr; mediumweight fat hoggets 27s 9d, unfinished 20s to 24 s ; fair forward hoggets 22s to 235.
Pigs : Heavy baconers £3 Is to £3 6d, lighter £2 17s tp £2 19s; light baconers and good porkers £2 14s to £2 16s, medium £2 10s to £2 12s, light £2 to £2 6s ; choppers £2 12si 6d to £3 ss; slips, and small porkers 26s to 31s ; medium slips 20tet to 23s .
