THE SPECIAL RATES. LEVY FOR CURRENT YEAR. The. following special rates were struck at Thursday’s meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. AU of them are over special rating areas only, with the: exception of the No. 1 Machinery Loan, the Hauraki and the Maukoro bridges loans, and the Hospital levy:— Orchard bridge. l-6d ; Kopu ferry, l-24d; Waihou bridge, l-16d ; Netherton roads, Id; Netherton roads, 1925, 2d ; Kopu ferry approach roads t 14d ; Puriri ferry and approach roads, %d ; Waitakaruru roads, %d; Tahuna roads, %d ; Turua-Netherton roads, 4d; Machinery No. 1, 5-16(1 ; Machinery No. 2,3-16 d ; 'Horahia roads, l%d; Turua town district roads, "5d ; Hauraki bridge, l-5d ; Maukoro bridge, 1-40(1 ; Ngataipua East Road, %d; Pekapeka water supply loan, is^d; Kerepeehi riding roads loan, %d ; Turua-Orongo roads loan, 4%d; Waitakaruru-Maukoro roads loan, l*4d; Horahia Opoti drainage loan, 4-sd; Turua-Netherton roads supplementary loan, %d; Hospital rate, %d. Following are the rates which were not levied last year: Netherton roads loan, 1925. 2d ; Kopu ferry, l-24d; Pekapeka water supply loan, l%d; Kerepeehi riding roads loan, %d ; Waitakaruru-Maukoro roads loan, l%d; Turua-Netherton supplementary loan, %d.
The following rates have been increased : Horahia roads, Id to l%d 5 Hospital, %d to %d. The rates, which have been decreased are : Orchard bridge, from l-5d to l-6d ; Netherton roads, from l%d to Id ; Turua-Nethertbn roads, from 4%d to 4d.
