ENTERTAINMENTS.

AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. ‘ TO-NIGHT. THE SIGN OF FOUR. A feature of the “ Sign of Four,” Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s story, which is to be screened to-night, is the contrasting ot London types. It is on attempt to give an impression of London, East and West-— not by two contrasting stories, but by telling a crooked story in a new way. TUESDAY NIGHT. WOLVES OF THE DESERT. ‘‘ Wolves of the Desert,” to be screened to-morrow night, tells the story of an Eastern criminologist who is called to Arizona to run down the men who are gradually wrecking a prosperous gold mine. ATHLETIC CLUB’S CONCERT THURSDAY NEXT. The Paeroa Athletic Club, an organisation still in its infancy, has by its encouragement of athletics and athletic training received a fair share of public support and interest. The Initial Sports Gala of the Club, held in December last, drew good entries and provided keen competition for the entertainment of the public. The ambition of the Club is to make its second sports Gala more successful than last season’s effort, and in this way establish the P.A.C. for Paeroa’s posterity. On Thursday next, in the Aurora Theatre, the second Annual Grand Concert of the Club will be held. To this entertainment—the first big entertainment in Paeroa’s New Theatre—a fine range of talent recruited from Auckland, Hamilton, Waihi, Waikino and Paeroa has been arranged. A late J. C. Williamson and Ben Fuller artist heads the bill boards. Walter Vernon and Ginger is a ventriloquist with a Dominion reputation who draws record crowds in all ceptfes. His appearance is likely to make for a record crowd at the. Aurora. Also Reg. Cooke, Hamilton’s clever entertainer, is a pleasing and appreciated artist. The public is invited to book at Flatt’s for this big ‘ ‘ Show ’ ’ of the year.—Advt.
