QUARRY ACCIDENT.
WORKMAN SLIPS DOWN’ FACE.
MINOR INJURIES SUSTAINED.
Shortly after 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon a middle-aged man named Henry Hendrickson sustained minor injuries while working at the Paeroa quarry.
It' appears that Hendricksen was working on the face of the quarty. being engaged on stripping work, when he lost his footing and fell a. fair distance down the face. Fortunately a projecting ledge arrested his. fall, and as there was no debris, fulling at the time he had a'fortunate escape.
The injured man was able to walk to Dr. G. T. Smith’s consulting rooms, where upon examination it was found that he was suffering from a bruised thigh and abrasions.
Upon inquiry at the Paeroa Borough Council Chambers this morning it was learned that Mr Hendricksen is a single man employed by the council on the unemployment relief works.
