HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: — At our Frankton sale on Tuesday last we had a good yarding of fat cattle and fat sheep, a small entry of store sheep, and a few pens of store cattle. There was a good yarding of fat and store pigs. Beef was fully 15s per head easier than last week, and mutton was firm with prices slightly better than at the previous sale. There was good competition for stoic sheep and store cattle, and for fat and store pigs there was a. good demand, although prices were about the same. We quote :—

Fat bullocks £ll 15s to £l2; fat steers, light weights, £8 9s to £8 17s 6d ; prime heavy fat cows £8 Is to £8 3s ; prim© fat heifers £7 12s to £7 14s, fat cows £6 14s to £7 9s, medium quality £5 14s, to £6 Is, plain and unfinished £4 10s to £5 17s ; good young empty cows and heifers £4 19s to £5 Is; good store cows £3 17s; store cows £2 to £3 ; yearling heifers £$ 17s.

Prime 2-tooth ewes and wethers 34s 9d; heavy prime wethers 36s ; fat wethers 31s 6d to 32s ; prime fat ewes 30s 2d to 31s 6d; good mixed sex woolly hoggets 24s 7d to 24s> 8d ; fat hoggets 26s 6d ; ewes in lamb 26s 9d. Baconers £2 18s to £2 19s; best porkers £2 8s to £2 12s ; sows in pig £5 10s to £7 5s ; good stores 34s 2d to 395; slips 27s to 32s ; best weaners 22s to 245, others 10s to 16s.
