GAMES AT THAMES. PAEROA TEAMS DO WELL. On Saturday three teams from thePaeroa Basketball Association, a<-QCi»-panied by a good many supporters,, journeyed to Thame.-? at the invitation of the Basketball Association at that centre. Though the weather conditions were not favourable a very enjoyable afternoon was spent, theplayers being loud in tjieir praise of the hospitality extended and. the goodwill shown by their Thames friends. The results of the games were as follows :— Paeroa Primary Representatives 25, v. Thames Primary Representatives 0. Paeroa High Schoool 12, v. Thames High School 12. Paeroa Senior Representatives' 34, v. Thames Senior Representatives 4.
The good showing made by the Paeroa players was mainly due to the fact that they have been playing regular games throughout the season under the. Paeroa Basketball Association, while the Thames players have not had the opportunity of having consistent practice. It is expected that the Thames girls will visit Paeroa next month, when an endeavour will be made by the Paeroa players to return the hos-pi~ talitj' shown them at Thames.
