HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—

At our weekly stock s/ale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a fair entry of fat, and store cattle and a small yarding of, fat and store sheep. Beef sold up to the previous week’s rates, and mutton was slightly firmer on account of a short market. There wfts good competition for .all classes of store cattle. Only a small number of fat pigs came forward, and prices were easier, stores selling at late rates. Beef.—Good quality choice prime ox £l2 7s to £l2 17s 6d, prime £ll 10s to £l2; medium fat steers £lO 10s to £lO 15s, light £8 8s to £9 10s ; plain heavy fat cows £7 2s, medium prime £7 ; good quality prime fat heifersl £7; forward-conditioned cows £4 6s to £5, store cows £2 8s to £3 7s 6d ; good quality 3 to 3%-yea.r steers £6 13s to £7 2s, 2 1 / 2-year steers £5 14s to £6 Bs, small 2-year steers £3 17s to £4 10s ; choice yearling Jersey heifers to £5, 18-months to 2-year Jersey and cross empty heifers £4 10s, yearling Jerseycross heifers £2 19s, small 26s to 30s. Sheep.—Extra prime heavy fat ewes 28s 6d to 29s 5d ; fat and forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers 27s Id to 27s 6d; 2-tooth to 5-year ewes in lamb to B.F. rams 30si; full to failing mouth eaves in lamb to B.F. rams 20s 3d ; small 2tooth store wethers 20s; cull ewes 7s 9d.
