A meeting of shareholders revealed that for the year ending March 31, Monte Carlo Casino actually won £l,450,000 from the public, chiefly in trente-et-quarante, and chemin-de-fer. The casino is now constructing a country club, with 21 tennis courts and a bathing pool, costing £500,000. It is understood that the vast majority of Casino stock is now held by the Blanc family, which includes the Radziwills and Bonaparates, as Sir Sir Basil Zqharoff sold oiit his interests last year.
