HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Auctioneering Co.. Ltd., report : — “At Hamilton cm Tuesday, July 19, we had a good yarding of beef, a small entry of fat and store she-' 1 ?, and a small yarding of store cattle. Pigs were penned in average numbers and a large offering of dairy cattle came forward. For prime quality beef prices -were better than the previous week. There was no iniprovemnt for fat wethers, but fat ewes met witli keen competition at advanced rates. “We quote -
“Extra prime fat heifers £8 10s t ;) £9 5s ; prime heavy fat cows £9 2s fid to £9 5s ; these prices were obtained for three pens by Mr R. F. Hall, Walton. Fat heifers £6 Ils- to £6 17s 6d ; fat cows £G to £7 5s ; medium quality £5 5s to £5 15s ; plain and unfinished £-1 to £-1 10s ; vealers £2 8s to £3 3s. A line of 50 three and four-year bullocks £6 i>s-; yearling Jersey bulls £4 10s to £6 5s ; choice dairy cows £8 10s to £9 ss; others £fi to £7 10s; choice springing Jersey cross heifers £9 to £lO 10s; good springing dairy heifers £8 to £9 ; small and inferior £4 to £5 10s; prime wethers 32s ; heavy fat ewes 28s 6d ; this price was for a line of 80; on recount of Messrs Vickers Bros. Prime- fat hoggets 24s Gd, fat hoggets 22s : extra prime fat 2-tooth ewes 31s • small store wethers 20s 6d. Pigs-Fat baconers £3 10s, light f'2 15s to £2 17s : best porkers £2 13s to £2 16s. Sows in pig £-1 10s ; goe-d stoic» ,2 to JS- slips 265, weaners 13s to 20s.
