HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:— At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a small entry of fat cattle and sheep which sold well up to the previous week’s rates. A fa.ir number of dairy cows and heifers were submitted, and there was good competition for anything choice and close to profit. A good number of fat pigs were penned and sold at improved values, stores selling at late rates. Beef.—Good quality prime heavy cows. £7 Ils to £7 17s 6d, heavy prime £6 5s to £7, prime medium weights £5 10s to £5 19s ; plain heavy cows £4 15s to £5 19s, stores £2 5s to £2 10s ; 18mbnths empty Shorthorn and Shorthorn cross heifers £2 15s to £2 19s ; dairy cows and heifers well forward £8 10s to £lO ; good spring calvers £9 5s to £lO 10s, medium £7 to £7 15s, inferior and backward £3 to £5. Sheep.—Medium fat ewes 18s ; prime woolly hoggets 24s ; medium fat wethers 24s 9d; store to forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers to 24s 2d. Pigs.—Heavy baconers £3 10s to £3 15s, light to medium £3 to £3 ss; heavy porkers £2 13s to £2 19s, lighter sorts £2 6s to £2 10s ; heavy choppers £4 to £4 15s ; good stores 37s to £2 4s ; sows due to farrow £5 to £5 10s ; slips 24s to 29s ; best weaners 17s to 21s, smaller 10s to 15s.
