Observing that during the past quarter three- hotel licensees had been prosecuted by the Health Department -for selling adulterated liquor, the chairman (Mr W. G; Riddell, S.M.), at the annual meeting of the Wellington District Licensing Committee, remarked that the committee regarded the offence as very serious, and one which, if continued, would warrapt the cancellation ol the licenses of those who indulged in the practice. “The public must be protected,” said Mr Riddell, “and licensees are expected to sell good liquor of standard brands, and should not make- a profit by means of adulteration.” Woods’ Great Peppermint Cure.
