THAMES VALLEY REFEREES.
ASSOCIATION MEETS AT PAEROA
A meeting of the Thames Valley Rugby Referees’ Association was held at Paeroa last yveek. Mr T. Turner (Piako), president, occupied the chair, find the following delegates were in attendance : Messrs )V. Jonas (Piako), J. Mannix and A. W. Dunstan (Waihi), G. T. Davidson and JReed (Plains), and D. G. McMillan (Paeroa). Mr G. T. Davidson was elected vicepresident and Mr J. Mannix was appointed secretary. The affiliation fee from the Paeroa Referees’ Association was received and acknowledged.
A long discussion on the new amended rules took place, and it was decided to commence playing under these rules in all centres in the Thames Valley immediately. The following referees were nominated by the respective sub-unions as capable of controlling Poland Cup fixtures this season, and they were forwarded to the Thames Valley Rugby Union : Messrs Turner, Jonas, and Aicken (Piako). Dunstan. Mannix, Payne, and Atkinson (Waihi), Davidson, Mahoney, and Reed (Hauraki Plains), and E. Smith and D. G. McMillan (Paeroa). Notice was received from the Thames Valley Rugby Union that a delegate from the association would be allowed to attend their meetings. Mr D. G. McMillan was appointed the association’s delegate.

Following is the draw for the first round in the Paeroa school football competition:—
June 11: Paeroa A v. Hikutaia, at Paeroa ; Netherton v. Karangahake, at Paeroa ; Paeroa B v. Convent, at Paerba.
June 18 : Paeroa A,v. Paeroa B, at Paeroa ; Hikutaia v. Netherton, at Netherton; Karangahake v. Convent, at Paeroa.
June 25 : Karangahake v. Hikutaia, at Paeroa ; Paeroa B v. Netherton, at Netherton ; Paeroa A v. Convent, at Paeroa.
July 2 : Paeroa A v. Karangahake, ;}t Karangahake : Paeroa B v. Hikutaia, at Paeroa ; Netherton v. Convent, at Netherton.
July 9 : Paeroa A v. Netherton, at Paeroa ; Paeroa B v. Karangahake, at Paeroa; Hikutaia v. Convent, at Hikutaia.
For the second round the matches will be in the same order, but the other team will travel except in the cases of teams from schools on opposite sides .of Paeroa, when botli matches are to be played at Paeroa. The first hiatches are all being played at Paeroa so that the players over. Bst may be officially weighed before the competition begins.
