THREE MILLION LOSS.

POSITION OF N.Z. DAIRY FARMERS

RESULT QF BOARD’S POLICY.

Speaking at the annual meeting of Joseph Nathan and Co. in London recently, Mr A. Sandercock, after, severely criticising the policy of the New Zealand Dairy Control Board, said :—

As a direct result of this ill-advis-ed attempt to revolutionise entirely the methods of marketing New Zealand produce it has been estimated that the amount the dairy producers in New Zealand will receive this year, as compared with last year will be at least about £3,000,000* less, and a £3,000,000 deficiency on a turnover of £20,000,000 is an acutely serious thing for each and every producer, especially wthen i,t is borne in mind that the producer as a rule is a small man and not a wealthy capitalist. The loss to him is a serious one, and the result must also reflect not only on the producer but on the general trading conditions in New Zealand.
