HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:—
At our weekly stock sale in the Fiankton yards on Tuesday last we had a fair entry of beef, and price* were unchanged. A small entry of fat sheep was submitted and sold.at improved rates. There was a large yarding of fat and store pigs, fats selling at the previous week’s rates while- stores were firmer. Beef: Well done light steers £6 15s to £7 7s 6d, young and light £3 19s to £! 7s ; best -fat cows £5 2s 6d to £6, iwdiu-m weights £4 5s to £5 ; rough COW beef £3 10s to £3 15s; fresh-con-ditioned cows and heifers £3 to £3 I ls, st. ie, cows £2 to £2 6s; Jersey-cross in-c .If heifers £4 to £4 10s ; good con ‘itioned 20 L months to 2-year, steers £3 16s.
sheep : Best fat ewes sold to 19s 6d, me’ium 17s 6d ; fat shorn lambs 20-s Gd (> 22s ; fail" Woolly hoggets 15s 3d J f 0; ward shorn lambs IGs, medium shorn 12s, small 10s to Ils Id ; F.M. ewes in lamb to B.F. rams 17s 6d
Pigs : Heavy baconcrs £3 5s to £3 10s, light £2 18s to £3 ; heavy porkers £2 13s to £2 16s, light £2 5s to £2 8s : slips 26s to 33s ; best weaners 18s to 24 s, others 12s to 14s;
