PAEROA LADIES’ CLUB.
OPENING OF SEASON -TO-MORROW
The Paeroa Ladies’ Hockey Club will formally open its season to-mor-row afternoon, when a match will be played with the Waihi Club, commencing at 3 p.m. Following is the local team :—
Goalkeeper, Miss P. Treanor; fullbacks, Misses N. Finnic and H. Shand; half-backs, Misses Gt Finnie, B. Gibb, and M. Tierney ; forwards, Misses R. Swann, P. Pivott V. Shand, A. Morland, and C. Swann. HAURAKI PLAINS GAMES. To-m-orruw the Waitakaruru and Kopuarahi ladies’ hockey teams will -meet at Waitakaruru, and the Ngatea and Kerepeehi teams will also meet. A meeting will! be held this evening to discuss the formation of a ladies’ and also a young men’s team in Turua. The idea Q,f, forming a Hauraki Plains Hockey Association is gaining ground.
