PAEROA RAINFALL.
FIGURES FOR MONTH OF APRIL.
SEVENTEEN WET DAYS RECORDED
From meteorological statistics supplied by the local office of the Public Works Department the total rainfall for Paeroa for the month of April was 1.91 inches, which is o'.oB inches in excess of the corresponding month last year. Rain fell on 17 days during the month, the heaviest fall being on April 27, when the. amount recorded was 0.41 inches. The total rainfall for tlie four months of thi.s year is 14.78 inches, compared with 10.51 inches for the first four months in 1926.
The prevailing wind last month was south-westerly. The thermometer averaged 58 degrees, the coldest day being April 30, when 43 degrees was recorded. April 21 and 22 were the. hottest days during the month, the- temperature reaching 64 degrees. The barometrical readings averaged 30.02 points.
