PAEROA RUGBY UNION.

L MEETING OF COMMITTEE. - ROUTINE BUSINESS. A meeting of the management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union was held at Mr W. Bain’s rooms on Tuesday night, Mr J. M. Crosby presiding over Messrs E. P. Fathers and J. Pinder (East), T. Royal (Suburbs), H. M. Shand (West), C. H. Potter and W. -Morrison (Netherton). w An apology for unavoidable absence was tendered on behalf of Mr C. T. Mettam, nad the question of electing - a. chairman for the season was. held over until the next meeting. CLUB MATTERS, It was decided to get into touch j»ith the Karangahalte club and ascertain if it intended to take pert in the competition. On the motion of Mr Fathers it was decided that the matches asked for by the Ngatea club be held over in the meantime. It was decided to loan tne East club a set of representative jerseys for the match to be played to-morrow. GATE CHARGES. The question of fixing the charges for admission to the domain for the season was discussed, and it was resolved that the admission oe Is and ladies free to all club matches, and for inter-union matches the charges be Is for men and 6d for ladies. APPOINTMENT jQF DELEG ATES. It w’as resolved that Messrs Shand, Mettam, and Potter be the union’s l . delegates to the Thames Valley Union. LIGHTING OF DOMAIN. On the motion of Mr Shand it was resolved, that the chairman and secretary make inquiries with reference to the installation of electric lights in the domain. OFFICIALS APPOINTED. Mr H. E. Butler was appointed official timekeeper for all senior matches, Mr E. V. Slyfield for junior games, and Mr R. Lock for both grades at Netherton. Mr W. T. Power was appointed firstaid official to injured players, and Mr B. Sherriff was appointed official gatekeeper. NOTICE OF MOTION. A notice of motion to be considered at the next meeting was given by Mr Potter, that the disqualification ~C. McNeil and T. Johnson (Netherton) be lifted. MATCHES FOR TO-MORROW. Followers of Rugby should find plenty to interest them at the local domain to-morrow afternoon, when three matches, have been set down, for decision. The principal attraction will be West seniors versus City (Te Aroha), which is to be played on the No. 1 ground, commencing at 3 o’clock. As a curtain-raiser to this match the West juniors will play City (Te Aroha) juniors at 1.30 1 p.m. The. No. "2 ground will be occupied by the East seniors v. East juniors, play commencing at 3 p.m. The Paeroa Union’s season formally opens on the Saturday, following, April 30. The East teams will be picked from following, with the junior backs behind the senior, forwards and senior backs behind junior forwards Seniors.—F. Fitch, J. Bean, R. Bullock, E. Moore, W. Nealie, J.
