GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. to-night. THE FAMILY UPSTAIRS. The story of “The Family Upstairs,’’ which is to be shown to-night, is a faithful transcript of the daily life of any American family in moderate circumstances. The action is laid in New York, but it might happen anywhere. SATURDAY NIGHT. IT MUST BE LOVE. Should a girl put love of a sweetheart above love of parents ? This is one of the puzzles which make the character played by Colleen Moore in ' “It Must Be ‘Love’’ one of the most interesting and appealing in that piquant actress’s screen career. This picture will be screened on Saturday night. HOW BAXTER BUTTED IN. Like a butterfly that emerged from a chrysalis, the boob of the office suddenly blossomexl into a hero over-' night, shedding his erstwhile bashful awkwardness and laughable diffidence with a miraculous snap of his fingers. He had loved, hated, and despised, with the intense fervour of a nature that found no outlet, until the. dynamic force, of a suppressed personality broke through. This picture is also to be shown on Saturday night. MONDAY NIGHT. -- THE TEXAS STREAK. A hilarious and breezy Western comedy, packed with entertainment and delicious scenes, is “ The Texas Streak,” the feature attraction for Monday night. With smiling Hoot Gibson as the star the picture > s utterly devoid of anything but entertainment. Also on the programme, is “ The Funniest Comedian,” featuring Douglas Mac Lean. This is said to be the snappiest comedy ever screened. - TUTtUA PICTURES. SATURDAY, APRIL 16. On Saturday evening there will be screened at the Turua Hall “The Night Club,” a Paramount comedy in which Raymond Griffiths takes the ► leading role. It is a comedy full of the most amusing incidents. TUESDAY, APRIL 19. On Tuesday will be shown the allstar drama “Havoc.” This picture is not so much of the war as it is of the effect of the war. Over the world went sweeping the great war and left behind it havoc in towns and villages, ■cottages and palaces. It is a mighty ■drama of war-dazed women, with Madge. Bellamy and George O’Brien in the leading parts.
