A stout lady entered the smoker of an Auckland tram the other evening. As it happened there was only one passenger when she got in, a working man in the enjoyment of his pipeShuddering with disgust the lady remarked : "My good man, smoking always makes me feel ill.” “Do it now, Mum,” replied the worker, puffing away, “then you take my tip and knock it orf.” The conductor laughed.
