RAINFALL. FIGURES FUR PAEROA. MARCH A WET MONTH. From statistics supplied by the local office of the Public Works. Department last month was a very wet month at Paeroa- Rain fell on twenty days during the month, the heaviest fall being registered between 9 a.m. on the 19th and 9 a.m. on the 20th, when 2.28 inches were recorded. A total of 5.87 inches was recorded fe-r the months, which is 3inches more than for the corresponding month in 1926. The total rainfall for this year now amounts to 12.87 inches, which is 3-81 inches in excess of the first three months of last year. The prevailing wind during last month was south-westerly. Tne hignc.st reading of the barometer was 30.52 degrees, on March 2, and the lowest 29.72 degrees, on March 20‘.
