HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:—
At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a fair entry of beef, and prices were firmer for prime quality. There was a small entry of fat and store sheep, and a good yarding Of fat and store pigs. Fat pigs were firmer, and stores sold at late rates. A small entry of stare cattle met with a dull sale.
Beef. —Light fat steers £7 7s 6d to £8 2s (id, small and unfinished £5 10s to .CO Is ; prime young cows and heifers £7 to £7 5s ; best fat cows £5 to £5 10s, medium weights '£4' 7s 6d to £4 15s ; light cows and heifers £3 to £3 10s ; rough and plain- ‘fat cows £3 5s to £4 ; store cows £1 to £1 14s ; 3year store steers up to £5.
Sheep.—Fair fat wethers 245, light and medium 21s 6d ; fat lambs 22s 3d; well-grown store shorn lambs up to l-4s 7d ; fair woolly B.F. lambs 13s 2d. Pigs.—Heavy baconers £3 4s to £3 9s, light £2 18s to £3 2s ; heavy porkers £2 13s to £2 16s, light £2 6s t' £2 Ids ; slips 23s to 29s ; best weaners 14s to 17s, small 9s to Ils.
