kerepeehl CHURCH BAZAAR. A very successful church bazaar was organised by the ladies of Kerepeehi and held on Wednesday afterno. n and evening of last week in aid of the building funds of St. Peter’s Anglican Church. Attractively decorated stalls were banged along both sides of the Kerepeehi Hall, and brisk business was done, particularly during the afternoon. A very fine display of garden and c.rchard produce had been arranged on the first stall by Mrs Carr. Alongside, Mrs Kidd, Miss. Rogers, and Miss B. Thompson weffe kept busy at a very prettily decorated sweets stall. The dips and the Christmas tree, in the charge of Mrs. Hoff and Mrs and Miss Frecklington, were situated below the stage, where Mesdames Wilson, Frecklingtpn, and Jones were in charge of the afternoon tea and supper arrangements. On a long stall on the other side of the hall the plain and ’fancy goods were effectively displayed, and alongside was the stall, over which Mrs Rogers presided. Mesdames Middleton, Booth, and Price were in charge of t.he sewing stallThe perishable goods remaining unsold by mid-evening were, disposed of by aucti' n, and from 11 p.m. dancing was held.

Various competitions were organised during the evening, the prize-win-ners being as-, follows : — Do,ll, Mrs A. McMillan ; lady’s jumper (198 beans), Master R. Carr, 197 ; cake (71b 12oz), Mrs Hegh, correct ; doll’s name (Princess), Miss Y. Mansfield Hamilton. ; candle-light-ing, Mr S. Rang! (40) ; bull board, Mr Hunter; bull board, Mils Stancell; safety razor (722 beans), Mr M. Hunter, 750 ; smelling competition, Mrs I. D. Jones and Mr W. Wylde.
