The ten per cent, penalty will be added to all 'rates due to the Hauraki Plains County Council unpaid at April 23 next.
The Thames Valley Power Board proposes extending its high tension telephone to Kaihere, and it is therefore desirable to> have a crossing installed at the Ngatea bridge. The apparatus would function automatically, if necessary. Permission to instal the crossing was granted at yesterday’s meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council.
