The plot is centred about the personal appearance of a movie st,ar at a theatre. THE STRONG MAN. If you went to .America looking for a girl whom you knew only through letters and a worn photograph, how would you find her ? Especially if she had moved from the last address, and you couldn’t, eveji speak English. These are only a few of the predicaments which faced Harry Langdon as the Belgian immigrant in “The Strong Man,” which is also to be screened tomorrow night. In conjunction with the programme Jackie Clark (Australasia’s Jackie Coogan) will appear in a vaudeville act supreme. This boy shows his ability as a comedian, impersonator, and monologuist. TURUA PICTURES. SATURDAY, MARCH 12. Take a. good-looking fellow with a beautiful speed car and no money to run it with. Then add a beautiful girl and her mother in a Fard that refuses to go. Sprinkle gingerly with speed, thrills, and laughs, and you have a fair idea of Richard Dix’s new .picture, “The Lucky Devil," showing at Turua on Saturday. “The Stolen Favourite,” featuring Steve Donogliue, tells the story of a racehorse that was.stolen and after exciting incidents takes part, in a Classis event. TUESDAY, MARCH 15. On Tuesday an exceptionally attractive double feature programme will be shown. Ben Turpin, the cross-eyed screen comedian, has a role to his liking in “The Shriek of Araby." “Paddy, the Next Best Thing,” also showing on Tuesday, is from the book of the same name.
