Mr Parry Edwards, of New Guinea, is on a visit to his relatives in Paeroa.
Captain W. Moore left Paeroa yesterday Afternoon en route to Gisborne, where he will attend the annual Fire Brigade Conference.
Friends o'f Mr E. Shaw, county engineer, will regret to learn that his condition is such that it is causing his relatives grave concern. He left, the Thames Hospital for a private hospital in Auckland and underwent an operation last week, but it is understood that no relief was obtained from it.
