Public Notices. PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDERS. NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council, held on the 16th day of February, 1927, the following resolutions were passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Council to be held on the 22nd day of March, 1927, at 7.30 p.m. in the Council Chambers :— No. 1 RESOLUTION. “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by ‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,’ and by virtue of a warrant dated the 21st June, 1926, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General in terms of Section 119 of ‘The Public Works Act, 1908,’ the Paeroa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows : “ ‘For the purpose of providing the Paeroa Borough Council’s share of the cost of constructing a bridge over the Ohinemuri River at Paeroa known as ‘The Criterion Traffic Bridge,’ the Paeroa Borough Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £lBOO at six per centum per annum for a period of 367/ years, and declares that the cost of raising the said Loan and the first year’s interest and sinking fund on the Loan shall be payable out of the moneys so raised.’ No. 2 RESOLUTION. “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 21 of ‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,’ the Paeroa Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order, as follows : “ ‘To pay out of the General Fund the interest and sinking fund on the first instalment of Two Thousand Pounds (£2,000) of the Water Improvements Loan.' No. 3 RESOLUTION. “In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 21 of ‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,’ the Paeroa Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order, as follows : “ ‘To pay out of the General Fund the interest and sinking fund on the Council Chambers Loan.’ No. 4 RESOLUTION. “That Station Road in the Borough of Paeroa be widened at its junction with Belmont Road by the addition thereto df FIRSTLY sixteen One-hundredths Perches (00.16 p. being part Lot 8 on D.P. 1240 Te Arero-o-Huatata No. 2 Block (registered proprietor.E. E. McLiver), and SECONDLY an easement for Street Purposes over Seventeen One-hundredths Perches (00.17 p. being part Lot 1 on D.P. 1576 Te Arero-o-Hua-tata No. 2 Block (easement to be granted by K. "iyr OTICE is hereby given that Ll at a special meeting of the Elstow Drainage Board held on Wednesday, the 16th day of February, 1927, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Board to be held at the Board’s Office, Waihou, on Friday, the 25th day of March, 1927, at 10 a.m,:— “In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Elstow Drainage Board hereby resolves by way of Special Order, as follows : 1. That the Board will raise the loan or sum of £6OO for the purpose of establishing additional drainage works within the meaning of and pursuant to the Lands Drainage Act, 1908, and its amendments for the benefit of the Awaiti No. 2 Special Rating Area of the Board’s district. 2. That the term of the loan •shall be 361 years, and the rate of interest not exceeding six per centum per annum, and one per centum per annum shall be provided for sinking fund. 3. That the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year shall be paid thereout. 4. That the Board appropriates and pledges as security for this loan and interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, the Special rate to be struck on a graduated scale according to classification of the rateable property within the said Awaiti No. 2 Special Rating Area on the unimproved value thereof. Class "A” three-farthings in the pound; Class “B” one halfpenny in the pound: and Class “C” one farthing in the pound. Dated at Waihou this 18th day of February, 1927. W. J. ANDREWS, Chairman.
